UPI (Unified Payments Interface) lets you pay from an Indian bank account through an app on your phone. You need a bank account in India to use it.
UPI works with Indian bank accounts, and most stores that ship to the US do not offer it at checkout. Only stores that accept UPI can run these offers.
Some work with any UPI app, while others need one named app. The offer terms say which.
The card issuer or payment app sets these offers together with the store, and either one can change or end an offer at any time. Check the full terms with both before you pay.
